Hi, I’m Lauren. I would love to pet-sit and/or house-sit for you in Melbourne in exchange for accommodation. I don’t charge any fees.

I’m a solo house-sitter/pet-sitter. I won’t be bringing any people or animals to your home.

I’m vegan, but I’m happy to feed your pets their usual food, including meat. I’m an introvert, quiet and not into partying. I don’t smoke, take drugs or consume alcohol at all ever. I have a National Police Clearance that I just got on 27 April 2024. No criminal history at all. I love cats, dogs, birds, fish, all animals. I am clean, tidy, responsible and respectful. I’m healthy and active.

I’m 27 years old and I have 22 years of experience looking after my own family’s pets at our family home in Perth, Western Australia. I have recently moved out of my family’s home, to Melbourne, by myself, and I’m looking to house-sit and/or pet-sit in exchange for accommodation.

I have experience pet-sitting dogs and cats.

I rely on public transport, so I’d prefer somewhere where public transport is easily accessible.

I don’t have a job at the moment. I’m looking for work from home work.

In my spare time, I enjoy dancing and singing (badly, haha), going for walks, watching movies/TV shows, listening to music and writing poetry. I also do volunteer admin work for an animal protection charity.

I consider housesitting a huge privilege as I’m being trusted with your home and beloved pets/ companion animals. I would never take this for granted.

I love cats and have spent time with friends’ and family’s cats.

I have 16 years (2002-2018) of experience looking after my own family’s pet birds in a walk-in aviary.

I love dogs and I have 19 years of experience (2005-present) looking after my own family’s pet dogs.

Altogether that’s 22 years of experience (2002-present) looking after my own family’s pets.

EXPERIENCE WITH DOGS:

I would absolutely love to go for walkies with your pet, and give them attention and pats. I love getting cuddles and kisses from animals (on their terms of course). I’d be happy to let them sleep where-ever you prefer, my bed, couch, dog bed, where-ever. I’d also love to play chasey, tug of war, and go fetch with them.

I would never hit or spray water on an animal or do any negative reinforcement training or punishments.

I love my family’s dogs so much. They are members of the family. And if I was pet-sitting for you, I’d treat your animal companions as my own.

Please note: I will NOT be bringing my family’s pets to your house-sit. My family’s pets live with (and will stay with) my family in Perth.

My timeline history with dogs:

I have loved and cared for all my family’s dogs from puppy age until old age when they have crossed the rainbow bridge from serious illness. I have lived with dogs for 19 years. I’ve cared for dogs who are deaf, and who have serious illnesses like cancer.

My local vet could provide a reference upon request. We have been taking our dogs to the same vet regularly for 19 years.
