| Description: | Our home is set on 20 acres in the hinterland behind the Gold Coast in Queensland. It is an open plan home with a wide entrance hall that runs the length of the house and opens into the large family-dining and kitchen area. The floors are wooden throughout to keep cool, except for carpet in the bedrooms and main lounge. The main bedroom is very large with own ensuite, WIR and french doors onto sunny patio. There is another double bedroom with double doors onto its own patio, and a single bedroom which shares the main bathroom. Each bathroom has shower and full bath. The toilets are separate. We have 2 studies, one off the main bedroom, and another with a double foldout sofa-bed. Our main lounge area is a quiet sitting area, while the separate family area (with a plasma TV and bar) opens through foldback timber doors to the outside pool (12 mtrs x 6.5 mtrs) and under-roof entertaining area. The kitchen with granite benches and equipped with a large gas and electrical stove, shares an L-shaped area with a dining table to seat 12. We have a separate home cinema room, which like the main bedroom has aircond. The rest of the a house is cooled with ceiling fans. Our garden is only young but there is plenty of natural bushland. On the same property, we have dog boarding kennels cared for by our live-in manager whose home is 200metres away. There are 2 large dams stocked with fish, and three creeks run thru our property | |||||||||||
