I am seeking a reliable and caring house-sitter to care for a 5-year old female Jack-Russell-Fox named Spotty over Christmas: 22 - 27 December. (N.B. I am posting this ad on behalf of a friend who has a mild disability and minimal computer literacy skills.)

Although experience is not necessary, I need a person who genuinely loves dogs and is prepared to devote quality time to Spotty, treating her as if she is your precious child. Any referees will be definitely considered.

Spotty shows loyalty and affection very quickly when she knows and accepts you! She needs 2 basic meals each day, plenty of water and a walk around the neighbourhood for approximately 30 minutes each day, which is best during the evenings on account of the searing heat by day. She usually prefers to 'toilet' during her walks, though sometimes needs to use the yard for this purpose during the day and before retiring for the night. No problem during the night mostly; she settles in comfortably and will sleep next to you if you agree.

A stray female black cat and a kitten are also in residence Some light meals and attention will suffice.

My friend also has a goat who is 'low maintenance' - just needing adequate water supply and food. The goat helps to mow the grass!

Other tasks are straightforward: mail collection, cleanliness and security of the premises (i.e. lock-up). A small supply of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, etc. will be provided; house-sitter will need to buy groceries as needed. Foodworks is in the next street parallel to this home.

Coonabarabran is situated in the Warrambungles region, Central-West NSW, surrounded by Binnaway, Baradine
and Gunnedah. Visiting in December is usually hot, however the house is air-conditioned and sometimes a cool change arrives in the evening.
