About this house sitting position in Galston

We are in the Hills area in NSW not far from the suburbs of Dural, Glenhaven, Castle Hill, Cherrybrook. We have 3 english staffordshire dogs which are our only reason for requiring someone to stay at our home, so anyone who was interested would need to be OK with dogs and wouldn't mind putting out their food daily and checking their water. Depending on time away occasional walks would be ideal and picking up poos would become necessary at least every second day if not daily. Generally they are very well behaved but one in particular is young, very energetic and sometimes naughty (chews things, digs, jumps up, etc) so you will need to be prepared to give them some attention and tell them off if required as well. They are very gentle and lovable though in nature just the young one is a little rough and excitable at times. If you don't mind they'd love to join you on the couch for cuddles at night while watching TV as well but you don't have to do that of course. They don't get on so well with other animals so it would be best if you didn't have pets of your own that you wanted to bring. Also we have not selected any "person" preferences (senior/male/female/couple) because there are 3 stocky dogs and we suggest that anyone interested is in good physical condition and able to handle strong dogs regardless of age or sex. If you are single I'd recommend taking 2 dogs for a walk and then returning to take a third rather than all 3 at once (though my husband has done this at times but there is no way that I could do it).

We don't have indoor plants and our plants will be fine with no care during these few days. We will not be leaving our car, so if you can I would bring yours however there is public transport available and local shops 5mins walk away.

We are going away for longer in August and I've listed a seperate advert for this time period so this is just a long weekend to a wedding mid-June and could serve as a trial run for 4 days and would be a good opportunity to see if you would like to look after our fur babies for longer in August.... We currently live in Galston an area that is quite "country" for sydney and has lots of farms (fig, persimmons, etc) and large properties with horses/studs, huge homes, etc, though we do not live on a large block or a large house at all but we are back off the main road and generally are not affected by traffic. There are lots of local cafes, restaurants, etc and things to do here (its quite central). We are not that far from Parklea Markets on weekends (if you have transport) and 5mins walk from us are two very quaint cafes, and more further abroad - one 5mins drive is one of our favourites, particularly if you don't mind driving through annangrove to rouse hill where there is the Mean Fiddler (an old irish pub voted best pub in NSW) which has great food and guinness and other nice cafes on the journey as well. We are also close to Castle Hill Towers shopping centre and Round Corner Shopping Centres. We are right near the Galston Gorge and driving up through that you have access to Hornsby and train into the city, the only other train station is the opposite direction in Pennant Hills. We are also close to Berowra Waters and Marina or you can take a drive up to Wiseman's Ferry (about an hours drive). So you may not have heard of it but its a great little place to visit. We are intending moving before the august time period, but intend remaining in the area still, so it may not be the same house but that depends on what we can find to relocate to hopefully end June.
