About this house sitting position in North Warrandyte

We live in Warrandyte, which is quite a charming, historic, tourist town on the Yarra River. It is 25 km from the city of Melbourne. Via the freeway it is only 35 minutes in non peak time. Our house is quite secluded as it is bordered by state park on two sides with a neighbour on one side and more state park opposite the road frontage. We back onto the river reserve. It would suit someone who enjoys such seclusion, but others could be nervous.

The house is pretty ordinary, but very comfortable - with all amenities e.g. aircon. dishwasher, woodfire and gas heater, digital TV and Broadband wireless internet connection. The house has a large verandah and a self-contained bungalow. The verandah is a favourite place for us to sit, looking down to the river reserve. The house is set on half an acre of pretty garden. Our home has a picturesque setting, bordering the Yarra River reserve with Koornong State Park on two sides.

We want someone who will love our dog for us while away. Sam is a 5 year-old golden Labrador crossed with many breeds. Sam is loving and he is used to being loved.

We want someone who will be home a fair bit in the day as Sam is used to that and loves company.

We would want to meet the potential sitter beforehand to ensure she is comfortable with the secluded position and with Sam.

So if you are a dog lover with a car and like the bush and a garden setting with seclusion, this could suit.
