About this house sitting position in Thorndale

Our 38 acre lifestyle property is located in the Granite Belt, 16 klm from Stanthorpe. The block has cleared paddocks and a large granite boulder and bush area. Around the house is about 3 acres of gardens and lawn. The property accommodation consists of a two bedroom rustic cottage with an air conditioner and wood fire. We have an abundance of bird life with several resident Kookaburra families, superb wrens, barking owls,tawny frog mouths and many parrots. On our hill there are kangaroos and echidnas. Our wonderful property has several wineries, an art gallery, 9 hole golf course and country restaurant all within 5 klm. It is a 10 min drive to Stanthorpe town centre which has all services and shops needed.

We would like a sitter who will be able to care for:
Our 2 cats, Smudge a big cuddly Himalayan x boy and Kit Kat a tabby girl who is a little standoffish at first but smooches once she is used to you. This would be feeding daily, cleaning litter tray and providing some company.
Our dogs Luna and Apollo who are Maremmas, as they are livestock guardians they take their protection role seriously so are a little shy at first but once they know you're a friend will shower you with their wonderful personality. They are very affectionate and need to be with their “pack” They need feeding daily and just like to hang about the house yard or with you, they sleep in the house overnight but and are. Wry well house trained. We have chickens and their rooster who is far enough away from the house that they don't bother anyone. Needs are daily check of food, water and eggs, they free range during the day and secure pens for night time.
We also have about 16 sheep and 8 goats, these are all self sufficient in their paddocks but enjoy being hand fed if you're interested. They would just need to be checked every few days and water tubs filled. Some experience with rural type properties eg tank water and pumps, ride on mower would be an advantage. We would need someone to stay in the house while we are away otherwise the dogs fret being locked in alone. There is plenty of room to accommodate large vans etc and don't mind if you'd like to stay longer either side of the required sit.
