Most people in need of a house Sitter prefer to get that part of their holiday arrangements organised as soon as possible. To increase your chances of finding a suitable sitter quickly you need to publicise your needs and be easily accessible. Our website does just that.
You can maximize your chances by letting our system do the work for you. It's as simple as placing a free advertisement with us. When you do, all available House Sitters for your location will receive a notification email with a link to your Mindahome details. Those that can accept your position will contact you and you can communicate with them and choose the one you feel most suitable.
Benefits of adding your details to our "I need a sitter" lists are:
- Your listing is featured and highly visible on the front page of our website.
You don't have to spend time going through our database to find candidates you think might suit your needs.
You don't need to communicate your requirements every time you contact a House Sitter.
House Sitters' circumstances can change for many reasons including cancellations and those that did not contact you at first can find you easily later.

House Sitters looking for sitting positions
As a House Sitter you need to be listed in our House Sitters database so that you can be found by Home Owner's. There is an annual fee of AUD$49 for this service which also gives you access to our database of Home Owner's. This is a flat fee that gives you access to all available homes requiring a sitter, there are no limitations as to location or number of positions you can take.
Please note: Only a small fraction of the Home Owner's that use our site actually list their homes in our Home Owner's lists. Many register and contact House Sitters directly without entering their own details. It is important that you enter your details in our House Sitters database as the first thing a Home Owner will do is browse our lists of House Sitters.
To take up this option you need to first register with us. Once registered, choose our House Sitters Membership from the Memberships menu in the menu bar above. From the members menu on the right you can now access the form to put your details in our House Sitters database. All Home Owner listings will have a 'Messaging Window' which you can use to contact them.

House Swap/Home Exchange Holidays
People who are interested in House Swap, Home Exchange Holidays are free to browse our House Swap lists and contact home owners as long as they list their homes as well. There are no charges involved.
To take up this option you need to first register with us. Once registered, choose our House Swap Membership from the Memberships menu in the menu bar above. From the members menu on the right you can now access the form to put your details in our House Swap database.
