Although I've been a member of Mindahome since 2023, I've been a member of Aussiehousesitters for approx 15 years and when I first started in Perth I had Agent representation (prior to Internet). I've screenshot reviews from that site and placed on this profile.
I've a base at Gunns Plains since Nov 2024 and have continued Sitting mostly in the NW Coast region. Recent Sits in West Hobart with Cavalier Rosie 14-19 Nov, 25-28 Dec '25 with 2 cats in Devonport. 3 x Sits with cat Fergus in Ulverstone. Currently on a rural Sit in Nook with cats and ducks and chooks. I relish the privacy Housesitting brings. I am flexible with dates and adaptable to most living arrangements. I do not smoke or drink and with mostly a vegan diet. I live simply and quietly. When I'm not Sitting, my time is spent at the Shack in Gunns Plains where I take a daily bike ride along the country roads, read and watch the occasional DVD. When on a Sit, a trip to the supermarket/local opshop. No requirement for cupboard/wardrobe spaces and bring my own linen. I am super conscious of energy consumption and have no interest in having guests. I have high respect for the privacy/security of your home and the welfare of your pet/s.
I started housesitting in 2000 in Perth, Newcastle from 2005 and Sydney from 2011.
I purchased property in 2012 in Sydney and also housesat for regular clients. Returning to Newcastle in May 2015 after selling the Sydney properties. I sat for clients in Waratah, Cooks Hill & Merewether NSW during the second half of 2015. I sat in Gympie QLD Feb/March 2016. April 2016 I purchased a property in Gloucester NSW, which I renovated and sold in April 2017. I have always wanted to live in Tassie and arrived May 2017. I purchased my home in Longford in July 2017. Prior to moving into my house I completed sits in Kings Meadow, Beauty Point, Legana and Beaconsfield. Whilst catching up with friends on the mainland at the end of 2018 I Sat in Adamstown Heights and Penshurst NSW. Returning to Tassie I Sat Xmas 2018 in Mt Nelson with chooks and Kingston, 3 cats. I sold my house in Longford, March 2019 and housesat fulltime til Jan 2020. The Hillwood house ( see Owners reference ) sold after 14 weeks and I then went onto a Sit in Garden Is Creek with chickens until the 19th June then White Beach with Eva the kelpie and chickens until the 23 August and Nile with sheep til the 23rd Oct, Old Beach with Molly the spoodle til the 14th Nov, Koonya with sheep and chooks til Xmas day, Kingston Beach with 2 dogs & cat til 4th Jan. 2 Border Collies in Somerset in September and October 2020. Sold my house March 2021 in South Riana and then relocated to Hobart. Before selling, I sat in Cleveland Xmas 2020, in a vacant property til new owner moved in. I moved to Hobart to a 2 week sit at Claremont (poodle) then onto Montrose for 5 months (no pets) til 2 Oct 2021. Early 2022 a weekend at Primrose Sands (cat). Lindisfarne (cat) for 2 weeks and Kettering (2 dogs) 10 days. Headed to Mainland on the 8th May. From 2 June til 15 Oct 2022 housesat in Brisbane (no pets). Returning to Tassie on the 1st Nov 2022. Newstead with a cat 5th til 18th Nov. Hobby Farm with 2 dogs and chooks 18 til 21 Nov. Cornwall with cat 2 Dec-13 Dec. Sit with no pets but extensive plant care from the 21st Dec in Rosetta til 19th Jan 2023, Somerset semi rural with chooks and large grounds and veggie gardens on 30 January. 3 weeks in Magra with a dog. 1 month in Dilston with a dog and sheep, 3 weeks Sheffield with farm animals. Rural acreage Sit in Preston Jan 2024 which became my rental until property sold Sept 2024, see attached Letter of Recommendation. I found a base at Gunns Plains in Nov 2024 and have continued Sitting mostly in the NW Coast region. Keeping busy in 2026 with cat sits in Ulverstone, Devonport, Nook, Miandetta and Sheffield until mid Sept.
