More information about this house sitter

We are an active semi-retired couple travelling around Australia while we are fit and able. We have our own caravan, and sometimes house sit when we are working or visiting an area for a period of time. We have discovered that house sitting is a great way to make new friends, and to get to know a place that we may have otherwise just passed by.

We are genuinely honest and responsible people who take care of any home, garden and animals as if they were our own. We are both pet and home owners ourselves, so we understand your potential concerns when leaving your home and pets. We entrusted the care of our aged dog to our daughter, and rented out our own home in Perth while we have been 'on the road' enjoying a simple lifestyle during the last few years.

Over the years as proud home owners, we have always kept clean and well maintained properties, inside and out. We are non-smokers. We have cared for all sorts of animals (including sheep, a kangaroo, chickens, cats, dogs and birds). We are practical and resourceful people able to resolve any problems that may arise.

We have worked intermittently to maintain our current lifestyle, and our skill set is still expanding. We have trimmed apple trees with backpackers in Tasmania, and worked as caretakers at a Byron Bay caravan park. Marc recently returned to flying hot air balloons commercially, and Lisa was employed with the WA Museum. More often we work as a team doing property maintenance, home renovations or cleaning.

We would be happy to provide a more detailed resume describing our relevant house sitting experiences, skills and background upon request. Also, we can provide police checks, and offer a list of referees you may want to contact directly.

Ultimately, you need to be confident you are leaving your home and loved pets in the care of someone you can trust.
