We are a mature couple who have
lived in and owned our own home in New Zealand for 48 years. During which time we have travelled extensively overseas. At one stage we were caretakers of a large home in Ireland for 3 years. where initially the owners used to come unannounced and unexpectedly to check the gardens and lawns were up to their standard and run their finger above doors and ledges and banisters to check for dust! We must have passed the test as their visits became more sporadic and less frequently!

We also house sat in Melbourne for several weeks, where security was a very important part of our role. See attached reference.

As a retired couple, we still like to keep fit and active, walking, motorhome camping, travel, gardening, music and craft being our main interests along with keeping up social contact with friends and family.

Although we live in New Zealand and unable to come meet the home owner in person for an interview, we are available for a video chat on WhatsApp, or Messenger

We both take a great sense of pride in our own personal appearance and particular pride in caring for our own home, keeping both house and garden immaculately and would treat anyone else's home with the same care, and respect.

Although we no longer own any pets, we have over the years had 2 cats who were a much loved part of our lives.

We would love to have the opportunity to offer someone else's pet some comfort and company and if they were willing - some cuddles - so that they didn't feel their owners absence quite so much.

We are pretty flexible with dates. However since our daughters' and grandchildren live in Melbourne city we are keeping our search to central Melbourne rather than wider Victoria.
