Hello. I am a 31 year old, single, non-smoking professional working full time in Melbourne CBD. I am a Freshwater Scientist (therefore very much an animal lover), spending the first 5 years of my career travelling throughout Victoria to sample various waterways (bugs, fish, plants and water), before working in Darwin for a year. I now have an office-based job with a Victorian government department in the city. I don’t get outdoors with my work now, so enjoy getting outside in my spare time when I can. So having a dog as company on walks around the neighbourhood would be great!

I grew up in the country and have had many pets over the years – German shepherds, a cat, a rabbit, lots of different fish, yabbies, axolotls, and budgies.

I have decided to give house sitting a go to save some money, help others, have a break from sharehousing and enjoy the company of animals. For the past 13 years I have moved about renting (ten of those years I have been sharehousing) and have decided it’s time to try and boost my savings to hopefully buy my own place next year. I would love nothing more than to have my own house, a veggie patch and small dog of my own.

I am accustomed to commuting to work, so I am open to opportunities outside of the city centre, and have my own car.

I am a tidy, reliable, honest, independent person and would treat anyone’s property or belongings with respect. In my spare time I walk, swim and do pilates for fitness and enjoy cooking and baking.

I can provide details of people who are happy to give a character reference including:
- A friend I house sat for over Australia Day this year
- A friend I dog sat for a while ago while she was away in Sydney
- Previous managers

Working for the Victorian Government I have also undergone a police check in order to be employed and my current team leader is happy to provide a reference if required.
