More information about this house sitter

I have to describe myself, my capabilities and experience.

I'm a semi retired accountant.
I've lived around the world.
I've owned my own homes... Sold the last one when the kid finished Uni and left home to live in Sydney and now in London. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were a tad too much for me to rattle around in alone.

Not sure of my next steps now that I'm effectively childless. So thought I'd house-sit to try out new Brisbane locations.

How does one describe one's self?

Positive:-
* I'm a dog person.
* I'm neat and tidy (I think). You can ask my 86 year old mother that question.
* I love to walk around my local area.
* I know every 'dog friendly' and 'off lead' beach in Brisbane and the GC.
* I'm quiet - the party days are a distant memory. The last party I hosted was my daughter's 21st and that was in 2014 and I was the caterer. Go figure? Although, I do like to have friends over for an informal dinner. Even, God forbid, a takeaway....
* I love to cook, although that could be a negative. I'm not a messy cook as I clean up as I go.
* Being an Aussie I love the beach and long walks.
* I don't have a boyfriend or any romantic entanglement.

Negative:-
* I'm a tragic watcher of Coronation Street. Those days in London in the 1980's made me a TV Corrie addict. Maybe that's why I'm divorced?
* When I cook I make way too much. Although, I do go through an awful lot of takeaway containers because I give most away.
* I'm also a music fan and have a propensity to play Dylan a bit loud. However, its not every night. In fact it is generally while I'm cleaning the house during the day. The music is off by 10 pm when I'm in my jammies and off to bed.

I'm supposed to put next my capabilities and experience.

I believe I have covered off the first. As to the second. At this moment it is zilch, I'm a real 'newbie', unless you count looking after my parents home whilst they were travelling. Oh, and a few friends who've asked me to water plants, feed and walk pets whilst they've been away. Really, I have no experience with house sitting for anyone outside my family and friends. All I know is that I'm respectful of other peoples homes. I have always kept a meticulous home and pride myself on cleanliness and presentation in a home. I could get a few references if you require. They will be personal references.

OMG this is sounding like a dating site. I get to the first few questions and just give up. Way too confronting for me.

The real impediment for any potential is that I do have a small white fluffy 13 year old 'designer' dog, Bobby. Bobby only weighs 5 kg. He doesn't bark. I'm not kidding. I swear I can count the number of times he's half barked on my hands. He's not really my dog. He belongs to my daughter who left our Ascot home to spread her wings elsewhere. I have had many dogs but this little button is special. Being a cavoodle and made of wool he does not shed. He loves everyone, people and other dogs included. Walking the paths along the river in West End, it is nothing for him to meet new friends. He sniffs small dogs, medium dogs and Great Danes. He has no fear of making friends.
Best of all, he just loves me. I will treat your pets the same way. Lots of cuddles, baths, allowing for foibles, etc. Their home is important to them. I've never put Bobby in a boarding kennel whenever I was away. I always organised for someone to stay with him in his own home. I did put our big girl Lucy, labby-keplie cross, in one once, and she fretted so much I could never do that again.
Maybe I should place the Bobster on a dating site? He has a better profile than me. You should meet him.

That is my description of myself.
I will look after your home as if it is mine. And perhaps leave some home cooked meals in your freezer to greet you when you come home. I always label with dates and contents!
