Young, energetic married couple. We love the gardening, being outdoors and our furry friends. We have had experience with dogs, cats, fish and birds. We have also had some experience with farm animals; sheep and chickens. We love all animals and are particularly suited to large breed dogs, as we have had plenty of experience with them.

We have been house sitting for almost a year now and have changed our working arrangements to make this more flexible. Therefore we are hoping that we will now be able to travel around Australia and even overseas, house sitting as we go.

We are clean, organised and trust worthy. We would love to take care of your home and your furry friends, we will love and care for your pets and home as if it were our own.

We both work from home so it is essential that we have internet at any house sit we accept, however this does mean that we will be in your home with your animals most of the time, so they will get plenty of attention.

Also we have made a rule that while we are in house sitting we will not be having visitors over, we understand that it is your home and it is hard enough to have strangers in your home, without adding additional stress. Read more...

“We cannot provide enough praise for these lovely people. We were fortunate to have Rachel & Chris house sit and care for our 3 large dogs for 5 weeks.

From the moment we read their profile & viewed their video on the house sitting site, we had a gut feeling that these people would make the perfect house sitters & be able to give our 3 x large fur babies the attention and affection that they are used to. Our gut feeling proved to be 100% accurate.

Rachel & Chris' were very professional and friendly throughout every stage of the house sit. From the initial email contact, Skype chat, initial face to face meeting, pre-house sit meeting and the entire house sit, it was clear that they take the job of house sitting very seriously. They demonstrated respect & understanding that it is a big decision by house owners to allow strangers to a live in their house & care for their pets.

Rachel & Chris were thorough in the preparation for the house sit including providing a document for us to record important information from everyday things such as garbage collection days, emergency contact numbers through to any 'quirks' specific about our home or animals and our favourite type of food.
Our house & garden were kept beautifully clean and maintained and for us, most importantly, our 3 x large dogs were given lots & lots of attention and care.

We have 1 x old male boxer, a 3yo staffy/boxer cross who behaves like a toddler that has drank undiluted red cordial and eaten a family block of chocolate plus our grand-doggy, a 3yo wolf hound/bull arab cross. They are our fur babies and are used to lots of attention and cuddles and they did not want for either during our absence.

Rachel & Chris sent us regular updates, photographs - including one of our staffy/boxer cross sitting on Chris' lap and gazing lovingly & devotedly into his eyes (she had decided that Chris was her best buddy & became his shadow) and other pics pf all 3 of them enjoying cuddles and treats. It was very reassuring to see that our dogs were being well cared for and were enjoying their time with their 'house sitting humans.'

Unfortunately, one of our dogs required veterinary care twice during the house sit. The second time required an overnight stay at the vet followed by having to give Charlee medication 5 times daily. Rachel & Chris stayed in close contact with us, spoke with our daughter a couple of times when they hadn't been able to contact us and kept us updated on Charlee's progress. All the while, continuing to ensure that our other 2 fur babies were still given plenty of love and attention.

We arrived home to a beautifully clean home, well maintained gardens & lawns and happy, healthy fur babies. PLUS two beautifully home cooked meals in the fridge!!!! Happy, happy and grateful home and pet owners.

We caught up with Rachel & Chris a couple of days after arriving home. Our dogs went crazy when they came into the house, fought over who was going to sit on their laps, snuggled and cuddled with them the entire time of their visit!

What more can I say other than, if you are looking for people that will treat your home with respect and your pets with loving care and attention then you cannot go past Rachel & Chris. If there was a Michelin equivalent star for house sitting, Rachel & Chris would have many.
