I'm a semi-retired artist, working in the contemporary forms of video, performance and installation, sometimes working with remote and regional communities via artist residencies.

In the wake of a long stint caring for my elderly mother in Sydney, I've been exploring Tasmania via a mixture of WWOOF'ing, house-sitting, camping and bushwalking - climbing mountains and breathing deeply in old growth forests as much as possible.

I have a home-base in Lane Cove, Sydney, and In between house-sits I spend time there and with friends and family in Sydney and all over Australia.

I'm single, no children, don't smoke, drink very little, have my own car. I love to grow and cook good food and am a dab hand in the kitchen, having spent a few years as a professional cook. I love to have the sky as my roof as much as possible - 'chop wood, carry water' has great appeal to me. I'm physically active with bushwalking, swimming, gardening, Pilates, Tai Chi, and I sing in choirs. I'm good with farm animals and wildlife and I'm happy to become a domestic animal's human for the time they're in my care. I'm clean and tidy and always leave house, animals and garden well tended. I can attend to incoming mail under your instructions, send scans of anything requiring your attention, and even run an in-house internet trading business if you happen to have one, as did a Hobart home owner for whom I've house-sat a number of times.

I'm energetic, versatile, adaptable and a reasonably quick study. I particularly like long house/land sits. I've been lucky in this regard, caretaking for 6 months in 2014 and 5 months in 2015, on 50 acres of beautiful conservation-covenanted bushland on Mt Wellington, just out of Hobart. I'm keen to experience eco-sensitive, energy-sustainable homes and properties, to learn from them and make a sweat contribution to them.
