More information about this house sitter

We are a retired couple living on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada. Julie is Australian having been born and raised in Central Queensland. Rob is Canadian. We are very keen to spend more time in Australia because our youngest son and one of our grand children live in Brisbane. Apart from that we would love to explore more of Australia. Before retirement Julie owned and operated a B&B and two vacation cottages in the Okanagan wine country of B.C. and Rob was an environmental consultant with his own company. We have travelled and lived overseas for both work and pleasure. We are the parents of three sons and we have been home owners for over 40 years. We love animals and throughout our lives together we have had dogs, cats, horses, fish and birds. Some of our dogs have been rescue dogs so we feel quite experienced with them especially. At present we are the owners of a 4 year old blue heeler Bella who keeps us very active with long hikes every day. We are very fortunate as we have a dear friend who loves Bella as her own and will care for her while we are in Australia. We also have a grand cat Gerry who was rescued by our son and his wife. We both love the outdoors, meeting new people and we are involved in volunteer activities in our community. We have a veggie plot in our community garden and Julie is a very keen gardener, loves yoga, and swimming. Rob is a keen fisherman, hiker and enjoys bridge and the gym. At present we help an elderly friend by taking her dog on hikes every weekend and we have done lots of housesitting for friends in BC. We can assure you we would love and care for your home and pets as if they were our own. We realise it is challenging as we are not in Australia until November 2022 however we are very happy to do a Zoom, Messenger or Skype chat at your convenience to meet us.
