More information about this house sitter

We are an active, retired, married couple from the UK, who have been visiting Australia regularly for more than 12 years. Honest, conscientious, caring, responsible, non-smoking, we have been home-owners for 40 years, raised 3 children and enjoyed a variety of pets: dogs (Springer Spaniels), cats, birds and small furry animals.
Now that we have time to travel more extensively, we like to use our skills and experience to care for your pets and home. We are very happy to clean and maintain homes, pools and gardens, exercise dogs, dispense medication, etc., to your instructions; providing you with the assurance that your property and pets are being well looked after while you are away.
Early in 2013 we successfully completed a four week undertaking, house-sitting at Hervey Bay, Queensland, caring for two large energetic dogs and an affectionate cat as well as maintaining the house, pool and gardens. The owner provided us with an outstanding written reference, and our interest in house sitting was established. We have sat again for this owner (who now has three large dogs) including, on one occasion, providing additional care for a post operative dog.
We spend the English summers back in the UK and return to Australia in November each year, staying with family for odd weekends and days between sits. Since our initial engagement, we have cared for a rural home, with two cats and pool in the Hunter Valley (twice), an urban home with two guinea pigs in Manly, cared for two cats and 8 chooks in Fingal Bay (twice), more chooks in Tasmania, an Alsatian at Corlette, an elderly Labradoodle in Valla Beach and a fox terrier and kelpie in Boat Harbour, plus several more! All of our owners have provided outstanding references and are happy to be contacted.
We have successfully completed three full 6 month seasons and are now actively seeking sits for Next summer.
We have original UK police clearance documents and would be happy to email photos of them to you along with copies of our references and contact details for our referees. Read more...
