More information about this house sitter

We are a recently retired and physically active couple in our early 60s. We are looking to do some extended travel via house sits of up to a few weeks at a time.

We have completed a number of house sits through various websites for which we can provide references. We are clean and tidy non-smokers who will look after you home and pets as if they were our own.

We have our own home in bayside Melbourne with two adult children still living with us. Until recently, Chris was a language teacher and currently runs floristry workshops at a local community house. Blair has been self-employed as an economic consultant and continues to do the occasional consulting project. He is also a keen handyman and has built a sailing trimaran.

Over the past four years we have fostered three wonderful Australian Border Force Labrador puppies from nine weeks to 12-18 months, all of which have successfully become detector dogs (a reference from ABF is available on request). Fostering required daily walking and providing training activities specified by the ABF, as well as administering medications as needed. Sadly, wishing to travel now means we are not able to foster another beautiful pup, so your pets will fill this gap.

We are independent and resilient travelers having camped for many years as a family. We have personally renovated three properties and are able to resolve most issues that may arise whilst house-sitting your home. Chris is a keen gardener and happy to maintain your garden. .
