More information about this house sitter

My husband, Irv, and I recently retired, sold our house in Seattle and are traveling for several years. During this summer (June - August) we, including our Pembroke Welsh Corgi Stewie, cruised on our new catamaran sailboat all around New England and Maine. We very much enjoy the cruising lifestyle and were fortunate to have spent time with many many friends and family throughout the summer.

On October 1 we will have our boat hauled out in Newport, Rhode Island and stored on land until April .

After spending time with family in New Hampshire and then celebrating Irv's dad's 100th birthday in San Diego, we will fly to Sydney on December 1. Our 25-year-old daughter, Sally, moved to Sydney in April to be with her Australian boyfriend. I have been lucky enough to have visited Australia twice already but this will be Irv's first trip to your wonderful country.

We have owned four different homes during our 28 year marriage and are very experienced at taking care of homes, pets, and land. Stewie is the fourth corgi we have owned and although we are very attached to him, he will vacation with friends while we visit Australia. Taking care of someone else's pets will be a joy since we know we will be missing Stewie.

Not only have we cared for dogs, we also owned chickens for number of years after our son brought home a lost (!) chicken from the woods when he was a teenager. We look forward to the opportunity to take care of your home and pets while you are away. We would welcome a phone conversation, FaceTime or email interchange to see if we would be a good fit for you and your family.
