More information about this house sitter

My routines revolve around the animals/people and place that I'm caring for, in my own quiet way. I like my own space, tea, nature, art and music.
I like trying to make ethical choices (for our animals, our environment and for ourselves) and form new habits in my weeks, always learning and making do with what I can.

This is my first year studying at the University of Newcastle, where i'm studying a bachelor of arts with the aim of being able to change over to Occupational Therapy in 2019.

Currently I choose to live at home (out near Glen Oak) as I love the quiet lifestyle, my family and our pets (our menagerie; 2 horses, 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 pig, 5 chickens and 2 guinea pigs). Previously i've had two gap years and two years of studying in Melbourne and Wollongong, before moving home again.

I am part of the university womens soccer team and I also play beach volleyball casually every week (which turns into netball in the winter months).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been pet-minding and babysitting since I was 14, 2008 (for neighbours that i could walk too, or would be driven to, by my parents). When I turned 17 and bought my first car, I quickly made use of the freedom to pet-sit for family friends and through word of mouth, and flyers I'd put up on community notice boards and in letterboxes, I soon had regular housesits (very useful over my HSC year). I have been doing them regularly ever since whilst at uni, and less often when not at uni - because I'm usually travelling.
I'd be happy to do some gardening too if you'd like.

I've had the joy of a varying range of housesits; rural, suburban and inner-city. I love the differences of each home and the range of animals I get to know.
Often I care for rescue animals in new homes and have some experience with animals and medication or special routines.
