We are a working couple (non smoking/drinking) looking to house sit anywhere within an hours drive (approx.) from Mt.Gravatt Qld, 4127. I work part time and Geoff is full time. We have 4 grown up children and 4 gorgeous grandchildren.
We've had many wonderful pets along the way, ranging from dogs, cats, birds and our children even had a few adorable rats, ( only once)!!
We have pet sat many times and even got to farm sit my sister's hobby farm a few times.... chickens, turkeys, geese, goats and a cockatoo named chookie, and looked after the veggie gardens. The highlight was hand milking their cow Daisy, morning and evening.
We love country drives, camping, bush walking and seeing our beautiful countryside up close.

Our youngest child left the nest a few years ago....(hence the empty nest syndrome then)......but so getting used to just the two of us now. :)
So we are looking forward to meeting new people and helping out with their homes in their absence and giving our love and care to their pets and gardens!
We have been house sitting now for nearly 3+ years.....which we've enjoyed tremendously. ( Have had a few years off during the pandemic).

So happy to come back and we are looking forward to our next chapter in life and the journeys it will take us on, together with the people and adventures along the way.

I have known Paivi Holliday for 35 Years and more recently her husband Geoff.
35 Years ago Paivi was my sons Kindy teacher and I was in a business where I needed to travel on a conference for a week, at this time I entrusted Paivi to come to my home and look after my two sons then aged 3 & 4. They still speak glowingly of that week.
Since I have now retired and wish to travel, I have for the past 3 years entrusted Paivi and Geoff with my home again but this time to look after my pets and my garden, I currently have an old temperamental cat, whom, I can honestly say I was very worried about leaving, but he has taken a liking to Paivi and Geoff, I think due to their very calm and quiet nature. My home is as clean and tidy as it was when I left (if not more so), my plants are all alive and my cat is happy. I would recommend Paivi and Geoff to anyone needing a reliable, quiet, clean and tidy house sitter and you will enjoy your time away knowing everything will be under control.
