Hi I am Anne, retired university teacher, restaurant owner and traveler ( still traveling ). I lived over 20 years in Dubai until 2017 where I worked as a senior manager of a University. I moved from there to New Zealand for four years and then retired to Edinburgh in 2021. Unfortunately I couldn't take my much loved Jack Russell with me, so now I house sit and look after other people's pets.
I am very level headed and good in an emergency, I don't panic easily or bother too much if things go wrong with the electrics. Living off grid in New Zealand made me very self sufficient and taught me a lot of new skills. ( and what I don't know, there is always a youtube video for it ).
I am a keen hiker, biker, and runner and love long walks with or without the company of a dog. I have traveled to 35+ countries and have lived in Sri Lanka, Estonia, Japan and Sudan as well as Dubai and New Zealand. I don't drink or smoke and am Covid vaccinated. I know how to look after most animals having helped out my farming neighbours in New Zealand, so I am comfortable with cats, sheep, cows and chickens - and of course dogs. I own more than one property so I know how important it is to look after other people's homes. I am an Airbnb Superhost and a consistent 5 star guest. I am new to this site but not to house and pet sitting. I have house and pet sat in the UK, the USA, New Zealand, and Australia but through other websites. I have lots of great reviews on other sites which I am happy to share, and other hosts in Australia are happy to take calls to confirm I am reliable, honest, organized and very caring. Read more...
