Hi there! My name is Ashleigh, and I am a young professional working in the IT industry as a User Experience Designer.

My housesitting and pet minding experience is extensive; I've been the "go-to" for many friends and families for many years now and love animals!

I joined various housesitting platforms in November 2019, where I went on a whim and spent 2.5 weeks looking after a gorgeous black Labrador in Cairns. We had the best time swimming in freshwater creeks and going for walks. The property had many fruit trees, 10 chickens and an impressive Aquaponics garden filled with herbs, veggies and salad leaves of all varieties.

Straight after Cairns, I came home and looked after 2 cats for a week over Christmas; the owner and I got along so well I am now her go-to for house sitting.

To say I love animals would be an understatement, I adore them! I've had animals my whole life and currently have 2 Burmese cats named, Chloe and Nala. They are like children to me, and I spoil them beyond measure! One day I hope to open an animal refuge where animals of all shapes and sizes can come and live their golden years surrounded by love, fresh air and quality care.

I am interested in housesitting because it's not only a fabulous way to meet likeminded animal lovers and travel to new and exciting places but also allows me to give back to the community!

I have always had animals; in fact, I had 4 cats and 1 dog at the same time when I was young! I know how hard it is to organise holidays around pets and sourcing a suitable kennel or finding someone to care for them can be very overwhelming. I can guarantee you I will take the utmost care of your furry family members as I would my own.
