We are a family that is really wanting to get a pet, but the logistics make it tricky. Being able to care and love other people's pets seems like a pretty great way to get our fill of animal needs while exploring new places. I'm sure it will be our children who will love it the most!

We have looked after family and friends animals before, and have for extended periods of time. We have been pet owners before and both of us grew up with pets. I grew up on a couple of acres so we had birds, chickens, a cow, dogs, cats and fish! We had a retriever before we had kids.

We have a 3 year old girl and a 5 year old boy. Ironically, both said 'dog' as their third word. They adore animals, and when we are out walking they have to ask everyone who has a dog if they can pat it. Don't let the word kids - put you off. They are great kids who have been around a lot of animals and have looked after dogs before. We are very capable to care for your animals and keep your house neat and tidy.

We have enjoyed the housesits we have done and have received great feedback on the way we treated both the home and pets. We also have purchased our own home and know the hard work and cost it is to keep your place in good condition. We will respect yours and be mindful of you as the home and pet owner.

I am a stay at home Mum who does some relief teaching work and my husband is an engineer. My teacher registration includes a police check as part of the process.
