We are an active retired couple who love travelling, making new friends and seeing new places.
Ray is an experienced horticulturist, self employed for 30 years. He then spent 10 years as the resident Head Gardener with a diplomatic mission in Canberra.
Chris worked as an Admin Officer at The Canberra Hospital for 32 years, with 20 years as the Office Manager in the Psychiatric Unit, dealing with the doctors and their patients.
During the summer of 2009/2010, whilst caravanning
around Australia, we worked as Assistant Managers in two tourist parks in the Margaret River region of WA.
On our return, we found it difficult to settle down and decided to sell our house and start a new adventure. Since then, we have been house sitting in various locations on the East coast.
More recently we twice worked as relief managers in a large motel.
Our past house-sits have all involved caring for pets, including cats, dogs, fish, birds, horses, goats and various poultry. We no longer have pets of our own.
Now, we live in Port Stephens, near Newcastle, but we still have the travel bug.
We are good housekeepers (non-smokers) and very conscientious about other people's property. Your pets and your personal space are of paramount importance to us.
We have been house sitting for the past ten years, caring for around twenty properties, many of them more than once.
