We are a family of three - Mike, Sarah and our daughter is 14 years old. We have a beautiful, well trained, smoochy 2yo Jack Russell/Australian terrier mix dog (toilet trained) who loves and is submissive to other dogs.

We are renting out our home on the Mornington Peninsula each January (to pay for school fees) so we are hoping to have a change of scenery and look after animals who may be missing their owners whilst they are away. I only work 2-3 days per week and Mike is retired so he will be home all day with the pets on those days. We genuinely love all animals. We have pet sat for three different families in the past 3 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of bonding with pets and exploring a new area. We enjoy just pottering around and being home bodies. Love to read or watch TV with the pets relaxing with us. If we go out, we tend to take the dogs with us. We walk the dogs 1-2 times per day and happy to accommodate pet routines ie a set breakfast time or sleeping on the bed.

Mike is of farming stock and has had chickens and lots of dogs. I grew up with dogs, cats, budgies, guinea pigs and fish. As a couple, we have always had dogs and they are definitely part of our family. We now have a number of kookaburras that we feed (insect mix with mince). Our daughter has had two dogs and loves all animals. She is happiest when she is playing with and patting the pets.

We are non-smokers and bring our own pillows, towels, linen, doonas and waterproof mattress protectors and thoroughly clean your home so there are no chores to do when you get home. References available on request. Read more...
