More information about this house sitter

We are competent, clean, respectful and considerate people, with experience in animal care. We are house-proud and we like to keep ourselves busy and stay on top of maintenance, so Rich (my husband) will gladly mow the lawns and I will keep on top of your gardening (I'm an experienced gardener, including veggies!) and watering etc - unless of course you would like everything left alone!. We are happy to collect your post and run any other errands you'd like us to. We are also very security conscious, and we are conservative when it comes to things like using water, electricity etc. We are both non-smokers, and have no pets.

I (Bianca) am 30 years old and my husband Rich is 33. We have been married for 2 years. I am Australian, and Rich is English. We lived in England together for around 11 years, but moved to Brisbane in March so that I could continue with my career as a Zoologist. Needless to say, I am an animal lover, and I will gladly care for any pet/s! I have experience in caring for many animals, including reptiles/amphibians, birds, fish, dogs & cats etc. Rich is an animal lover too, and we are both fairly active people, so you can rest assured that we will be proactive in taking excellent care of your pet.

Rich works as a Chartered Surveyor, which is a type of commercial property consulting. I am a research scientist, specialising in Herpetology and Toxinology (this basically means that I study reptiles and venom!) at the University of Queensland, St Lucia. We work normal office hours (8-5ish mon-fri).

We have been housesitting since we moved to Brisbane in March (we are currently (July) on house sit number 5!). Our plan is to house sit until we are in a strong enough financial position to buy our own place. As we are fairly new to Brisbane/QLD, we also felt that housesitting for a while would enable us to get a good feel for some of the different areas around Brisbane.

We both have police checks and references available.
