We are a couple who have retired early while we are active and able to see our beautiful country. We will live in our caravan for the foreseeable future and are doing some house and farm sitting to help others out on our travels.
We are both friendly, honest, reliable, respectful, and community minded. We don’t have any pets ourselves but have had dogs in the past. My husband has experience with farm animals in particular sheep and racehorses and had 38 years working in mining. We’ve had our own business (coffee shop) in the past and I’ve also had experience in event planning and most recently as a receptionist for a large hair salon.
We are willing to look after your home as if it were our own, we are both non smokers and extremely neat and clean. Ideally we would like to have space for our caravan. I have listed below references for previous house and farm sits. We look forward to hearing from you.

“We have had John and Darlene housesit our house and farm over 2 weeks in January 2025.
We live on a property and need someone to keep an eye on things and have some knowledge of farm type tasks. They did a great job of looking after our cats and chickens and pool and keeping an eye out for any farm related issues. They took into account the weather and consequently kept water on the grass and outdoor and indoor plants.
Before we went away they came around twice to talk about what was needed and to have a run down on how everything works.
Everything was in immaculate order when we got home.
I couldn’t recommend John and Darlene highly enough to look after your house gardens and pets. They are professional, friendly and reliable people.”

The house & garden were left immaculate on our return & all pets happy & healthy.

They kept us updated while we were away which insured us the pets were in good hands.

“I highly recommend Darlene and John, they cared for our farm for 3 weeks in August 2024. They looked after our animals including cows, sheep, chickens, cockatiels and of course our gorgeous boy our stumpy tail blue heeler Olly. They also watered our plants and collected mail.

Communication was regular with updates. They were on time with arrival our animals were all healthy and happy when we got home.

I would say they are very friendly, sociable, trustworthy and loved our animals. This was evident when Olly watched them leave until the van was out of sight.

It is so nice to be able to have a break from the farm and know that everything is going okay at home while away.”
