Hi! Thanks for stopping by! We’re Mick, 39, and Miki, 34, a friendly and reliable couple living on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Mick recently retired from a 13 year career in the New South Wales Police Force and is enjoying some well earned downtime. Miki works full time as a New Home Specialist helping people settle into their dream homes.

We are currently on a month long house sit in Oxenford, looking after two friendly Golden Retrievers in a large home with a pool, garden, and modern amenities. We enjoy walking, feeding, and keeping the dogs happy and active every day, which reinforces our confidence in caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments and maintaining larger properties with care.

We are extremely neat and tidy, practically neat freaks, and very security conscious. We are happy to care for most pets including dogs, birds, and small animals. We can also manage cats, although Mick has mild allergies that occasionally flare with certain breeds. We have some basic gardening skills and can maintain homes as needed. Mick’s experience as a homeowner gives him extra understanding of property care and maintenance.

Growing up in a large family of 13 (yes that is not a typo, 13 kids!), Miki developed strong responsibility and teamwork skills which we bring to every house sit. Currently it’s just the two of us and we don’t own pets ourselves.

From 2027, we plan to transition into full time van life, balancing travel with house sits around the country. We love camping, four wheel driving, exploring local cafés, and take pride in being trustworthy, respectful, and conscientious guests in every home we stay in. Read more...
