Hi there!

We are Ellen and Dylan your friendly, honest, clean and respectable house sitters. We have recently moved over to Tasmania from Victoria in search of a slower, quieter and nature filled life- what better place than Tasmania to do this? We are currently located in Hobart but we are happy to house sit anywhere, we love the city but we also love complete serenity and farm life- whatever your set up we will love and respect!

It is just the two of us- we don't come with any pets or children, just a live sourdough starter, two big smiley faces and a wholesome approach to life.

We both LOVE to cook, read, play with all animals and move our bodies. Whether this is hiking, swimming or collecting chicken eggs and cleaning animals shelters- we are just happy to be outside! We are both fit and healthy so there are no jobs we cant do!

We are also both calm, caring, nurturing, responsible, loving adults. This will be shown throughout how we care for your garden, home, pets, and how we treat your neighbours and community. We understand that we represent you and your values and we will show that in every aspect of how we live. We are both great at communicating and excellent problem solvers which we believe is key to ensuring you have a fun and enjoyable holiday- if any problems arise we will solve them but we will also keep you updated on everything (and we are more then happy to send bulk photos and videos of your fur babies and the house for peace of mind)

I (Ellen) am a 28 year old female cookbook author and publisher. I work online full time writing recipes- focusing on sustainable and seasonal cooking, as well as running an online cooking accessory store with my sisters (small family run business). My passions are animals of all shapes and sizes, sourdough baking (so yes you can guarantee you will come home to a freshly baked loaf, or 2!), cooking, my two dogs (rescue French Bulldogs- the most high maintenance breed you could ever own haha) who are back home in Melbourne and my large veggie patch with chickens and alpacas that I share with my sisters back in Mount Macedon, Victoria. I therefor have a-lot of experience looking after veggie gardens, farm animals, kitchens and dogs. I work for myself meaning my hours are flexible so if any problems arise eg if your pet is sick and needs to go to the vet I can drop everything to make that happen. I also pride myself on being an indoor plant mum, so all indoor plants will be cared for as much as your outdoor plants! My sisters and I also have hobby bee hives back in VIC to help grow the bee population so if you have a hive I am also familiar with them and are happy to bee suite up to check on your hive if need be! I have also fostered rescue lambs, bottle feeding them every few hours before they were old enough to go to a rescue farm so am familiar with jobs like these.

I (Dylan) am a 27 year male online tutor and coach. I work part-time with high school students online through zoom coaching sessions to help guide and mentor them, helping them with their studies but also their personal development. This job can only be done outside of school hours, meaning my weekdays are free so I have lots of time to do house, animal or garden chores that need doing for you, no matter how strenuous, time consuming or last minute. Before this I worked in the hospitality industry, running restaurants specialising in pizza ovens so this is where my love of cooking stems from. I grew up in country Victoria, so I'm very familiar with farm work and am not afraid to get my hands dirty. Wood chopping? Great thats way more interesting than a gym membership! I have always lived with cats so I have experience with those beautiful creatures, as well as I have house sat before on and off over the last 5 years. In that time I have taken care of chickens, roosters, sheep, fish, birds, horses, roosters, dogs and rabbits- and I loved it all!

Due to us both working online it means we can be home with your pets all day- meaning lots of day cuddles, care and pats :)
