More InformationThis year (2018) we are travelling to SA and WA, leaving home in mid June to housesit at Ceduna.
All our experiences with house sitting have been positive and we have met some wonderful people and their pets!
Generally, we prefer house sits of one month or less.
We are retired country people used to a modest life style, and love travelling throughout Australia in our small caravan. We are non-smokers, social drinkers only and love nature and wildlife. We are honest, responsible and used to looking after animals, small acreages and gardens. At home we are very involved in our local community organisations including church, Golf Club, CFA etc. One of us is a wannabe patch worker, interested in singing and the other a gardener, chess player and golfing tragic who likes to be outside doing things....we are both fit and active, enjoy reading, music and gardening. We have also done volunteer work with BlazeAid over several years.
We did our first house sit in 2011 for a month in Perth with 2 lovely Huskies. The following year we did a house sit near Bendigo, Vic. for 1 month and have had 2 return visits since. In June 2013 we enjoyed looking after a lovely German Shepherd and house in the Adelaide Hills followed by another great house sit with 2 little French Bulldogs in Perth over Christmas 2013. 2014 found us on a big road trip to WA including several weeks in Dunsborough and May 2015 saw us in Stanthorpe Qld on a few acres, 2016 we house sat in NE Victoria, close to home. 2017 we were at Atherton and Kingaroy Qld. We have references from most house sits done to date, (as well as the usual personal references, Police Checks and Working with Children cards.) We can also give contact details for the most recent house sitting jobs if you would prefer contact by phone.
