Hi, I’m Kylie! I’m originally from Queensland and have been based in Singapore for the past six years, working as a teacher at an international school. I enjoy staying active and love travelling, reading and listening to/playing music.

Over the years, I have cared for homes and pets for friends, work colleagues and through house-sitting platforms. I absolutely loved the experience. I have cared for dogs and cats, including some requiring medication and a little extra care and attention. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I previously had two cats, Princeton and Rocco, and two dogs, Milo (Jack Russell) and Princess (Maltese Shitzu) who were all very loved members of the family.

I would absolutely love to have pets again myself, but with my work schedule and frequent travel over the years, it hasn’t really been practical or fair. House sitting has been such a lovely way to still spend time with animals. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality, routine and little quirks so they feel relaxed, happy and comfortable while their owners are away. On one housesitting assignment, I even brought the dogs along with me while running errands as I didn’t want to leave them home alone in case they felt lonely. Their owners joked that I spoiled them much more than they did!

I’m also very respectful of people’s homes and have experience caring for larger properties, including watering plants, basic garden maintenance, collecting mail and keeping everything clean, tidy, and secure. I understand how important it is for owners to feel completely at ease while they’re away, and I always aim to care for both pets and homes as though they were my own. My references also reflect how tidy and organised I am. I really do thrive in a clean and calm environment.

I am relocating to Australia in July 2026 and am looking forward to exploring more of Queensland when I return. During this time, I plan to do some relief teaching in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast before the new academic year begins in January. Housesitting will give me an opportunity to explore the different areas before I commit to a permanent role in January 2027 plus the added bonus of having some furry friends to care for.
