We are retired couple (accountant / university lecturer). Since 1986, we used to lived in our own house in Brisbane, with double garden, dog (Rhodesian), cat (European, she managed to a noble age of 19 years); and a plenty of wild life (some 20+ kind of birds alone, but also koalas and kangaroos, snakes, skinks, lizards, geckos and more). 2014-15, we made a one-year run in Europe. Since, we were back in Brisbane and moved to Perth permanently (climate and sea-change reasons).

We are looking for a short-term (max 1 week) sitting assignment in any locality by the ocean from Geraldton to Carnarvon (so, it would be conducive for our literary projects. We can start such assignment from July 2017 onward. Thus, our primarily interest in house sitting is exploratory.

For 1.5 years we sit a house in Brisbane (Macgregor), refurbished the house and revitalised the garden (front and back yard). We also sit two other houses in Metropolitan Brisbane (Karana Downs and Wellington Point). We are robust, enthusiastic, and self-sufficient. We are pet wise and friendly (due to our affinity for dogs, even strange dogs do never bark at us!). Moreover, we are able to provide a decent care for various plants and flowers. We are also able to provide some house / backyard repairs, when needed (to include cleaning swimming pool). We neither smoke or do drugs; while having some wine / beer in moderation. We avoid any trouble, make friends easily, but usually keep to ourselves. We belong to an old school of law and order, as well as for a strict personal hygiene. We may provide personal and professional references for some 40 years backwards. All in addition to the Australian Federal Police certificates (which we can renew on request). Read more...
