We are Kate and Jiri! I’m from Australia and Jiri is from the Czech Republic. We met while volunteering at a dog rehabilitation centre in Southern Spain, where we cared for over 30 dogs and supported the daily running of the project. It was an experience that brought us together and highlighted our shared love for animals, community, and meaningful travel.
I (Kate) am a teacher, and Jiri is a software developer. Our work backgrounds reflect who we are, patient, organised, responsible, and adaptable. We’re now heading to Australia for our next adventure and are excited to continue connecting with new places and people along the way.
Throughout our 20s, we’ve spent much of our time traveling, working, and volunteering around the world. We’ve also done a lot of house sitting for friends, families, and members of various communities. We understand how much trust is involved in welcoming someone into your home, and we take that responsibility seriously.
We would be genuinely excited to stay in your home, care for it with respect, and look after and love any animals that are part of your family. Cleanliness, reliability, and communication are really important to us.
In our free time, we enjoy staying active; hiking, running, camping, rock climbing, road trips, and playing sports. We love exploring local areas, spending time outdoors, and settling into the rhythm of wherever we are.
