I taught English in Secondary School and bahasa Indonesia in Primary School for 25 years, but now my husband, a Clearance Diver and Submarine Rescue Trainer with the Australian Navy, and I have retired in South Australia, where we have a cottage in the Adelaide Hills. We have a beautiful hobby farm, but I get to do some occasional travelling and housesitting in order to establish myself as the most reputable and best housesitter available. :)
I love travelling and my idea of heaven is staying in one place , meeting new people and quietly soaking up the culture of a region. On occasions, Pete and I would like to housesit together when we've passed the care of the property on to our son to manage.
Caring for your home rather than vacationing in an impersonal, crowded resort allows me the experience of being part of a community, bringing a whole new meaning to "feeling at home". For me it's a privilege to be entrusted with your precious animals and home, and it's something I never lose sight of or take for granted. I have a deep love and respect for all animals and it's very important to me that they always feel safe, content and loved. I'm an avid reader and writer and so I'm available to stay home most of the time to give all my care, love and attention to your pets. I simply enjoy being the custodian of your home and pets, allowing you complete peace of mind and guilt-free travel. As a MindaHome Homeowner myself, I've engaged many amazing sitters, and I can really relate to new owners' nervousness and help them through this wonderful win-win concept.
