Hello, We are Carol and Jeff Carmichael. We are currently enjoying house and pet sitting while we travel around Australia. We are both fit, active and have a great love for animals, the outdoors and travelling.
We have completed many successful house sits in Qld, NSW, SA, TAS and NZ. We enjoy being able to help families by caring for their homes and pets giving them peace of mind and security. We have been rewarded with some lovely homes to live in, have made many new friends both human and animal and we have seen some amazing scenery. We really do consider the role of house sitting one of great responsibility and we can assure you that your home and pets will be looked after to a high standard.
We are honest, reliable and responsible. We are very capable and practical and would attend to any issues and the general day to day running of your home and grounds. We are non smoking, clean living, house proud people who enjoy a quiet life style.
Over the years we have been blessed with the most wonderful family pets but at the moment we do not have any companions of our own so we have been enjoying cuddling up to our adopted house sit friends. We would happily care for, pamper and exercise your precious pets if and when you require. We have the time to give your pets the love, attention and affection they will need whilst their family is away, we will treat your pet with kindness and will do whatever it takes to ensure your pet feels happy and contented in our care. We know whats it like to leave a pet, how stressful it can be they are a member of your family and will make them feel like we are part of their family as well. We realise you may have a routine or a special sleeping spot for your pet so we will follow your instructions we believe this will help your pet feel more secure at home. We always keep in regular contact with our families while they are away from home, we regularly send them photos of their pets and often Skype.
Having being farmers for many years we have good knowledge of and a great love for all animals, we are observant and conscientious and animal health is a priority for us. During our house sits we have cared for a variety of animals, dogs all shapes and sizes, cats, horses, fish, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and a variety of farm animals. We have experience caring for animals who were on a special diet, have food allergies, on mediation, a little timid and elderly, a couple who were not so social and one who suffered from a nervous condition. Recently we cared for a dog who had just had surgery and needed lots of TLC.
In the past we had our own home listed for house sitting so we do understand how important it is to find sitters who will be respectful of your personal belongings and care for your furnishing and home leaving it clean, tidy and as they found it. We have lived in the city and country and are comfortable in either environment.
We both have police clearances and will supply contact details from recent happy home owners you can talk to and we have written references for you to read.
