More information about this house sitter

We have recently retired after working for several years in international teaching and school improvement projects. Consequently, our own properties are rented out, one in the UK and another in Australia’s Gold Coast - Steve is Australian and I am British. We are mature, friendly, kind and security conscious, especially with other people’s homes. We are heading back to the Gold Coast where we would like to continue housesitting because we enjoy travelling and looking after animals.

We have just completed four house-sits in the UK from a UK web site. We loved getting to know each of the pets – an intelligent and playful border collie, a self-sufficient and loving miniature Schnauzer, an elderly Jack Russell full of character and determination and a cockapoo – a gorgeous bundle of joy. We have felt honoured by the trust people have shown in us, trust that we ensure we earn. Consequently, we have received really positive feedback (extracts below). I had a border collie for over 11 years and cats in the past. I loved to spend hours walking with her in the UK mountains, then cuddling and grooming her in the evenings. Steve was also a dog owner before travelling so we are both experienced in looking after animals.

When we feel at home, we both love pottering, exploring the locality (we have our own car), keeping the home tidy and well looked after, and especially, walking dogs.
