More information about this house sitter

Hi, we are a mature, responsible, quiet, young-at-heart, non-smoking, semi-retired couple in our mid/late 60's. In 2014, we chose to be permanent house-sitters.

We own a 7m off-road caravan, which comes with us wherever we go, and in-between house sitting, we sometimes take it on a trip somewhere within Australia.

We house sit rural and semi-rural areas and a couple of years ago, we enjoyed a different experience as relief caretakers on a 5000-acre cattle station near Mundubbera QLD.

We call the Sunshine Coast home and have lived in the area for over 40 years. At the moments, to be near family and friends, we're staying around the area for an extended time.
As we are permanent house-sitters, living in our ‘home’ area, we’d like to let you know that we do have the occasional visit from friends and family and on the odd occasion, they may stay over for a night. Please be assured that we don’t have parties, and full respect for your property is taken at all times.

We are competent and highly recommended house sitters, assuring you the complete safety of your home and pets. We are comfortable living on suburban or rural properties, and love to care for all animals, except reptiles. We are lovers of art, and enjoy being active with bushwalking, surfing, bicycle riding, gardening, bird watching, reading & pursuing or creative interests.

We have outstanding references that reflect our competence. These are available to view on our profile or please feel free to request them.

We are efficient, clean and organised and take pride in your home and property, treating them and your much-loved pets/animals as our own.

Being brought up on a farm, Cheryl has the experience and a close understanding of dogs, cats, horses, and a wide variety of farm animals. Generally working as an administrator, she has also worked in a small private zoo, handling many exotic animals.

Rob has always had pets and has a natural way with them - he has been a bit of a dog whisperer too. He has been in the horticulture/gardening industry for over 22 years, bringing his knowledge and expertise to your property. He is a keen surfer and he also loves to play guitar, while Cheryl's interests include painting & drawing and yoga.

Most of all, we are 'homebodies', happy in our own company, and love peace and quiet and getting the job done.

We have been together for 18 years and make a great team.
