More information about this house sitter

Michael and I are dual Australians/British citizens. We recently moved from the UK to return to Queensland to settle once again. We previously spent sixteen years in Glasshouse Mountains, Queensland. Our home was a modern Queenslander with extensive gardens and a large in-ground pool.

Michael is a retired ex-British/Rhodesian police officer/Businessman and I am a semi-retired Montessori teacher, at present involved in online tutoring. We have been dog walkers and cat socialisation volunteers for Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Somerset, UK, and were involved in walking dogs for The Cinnamon Trust for owners not able to exercise their own dogs. We are experienced house/animal sitters, having looked after people’s homes and their precious pets, which have included dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, chickens and horses, in Australia and the UK. Our latest interest in the UK was caring for dogs of families not wanting their precious pooches to be placed in kennels while they’re away.
We are completely animal smitten and are non-smokers. We tend to stay home most of the time but do enjoy the beach and swimming in the sea.
Since we're keen to settle somewhere between Hervey Bay and MacKay, we would prefer housesits in these areas.
I have attached references from homeowners in both Australia and the UK where we did stints of house-sits at various times, before and after settling in England.
