You can always message me to check if I am available and interested, but please be aware that the balance of probability is I may not be able to do it. I am currently only looking for sits for March/April.


Hi! My name is Emery, and I've been pet sitting for 5-10 years. I have looked after various cats and dogs in Sydney, Melbourne, and overseas in Amsterdam. I'm based in the Inner West of Sydney, and while I predominantly house sit as an individual, I usually like for my partner to be able to join me for some of the time, where possible.

I'm comfortable looking after cats, dogs, and other small, furry creatures. I especially love and am most comfortable with cats. I've recently become more used to dogs as well, as I've lived with others who have dogs I've helped to look after (small, medium, and large sized).

I've cared for pets with more complex needs, including those who've needed medication as well as pets from traumatised backgrounds. I care deeply for the welfare of animals and was elected President of the University of Sydney's Animal Welfare Society 2017-2018- needless to say your babies will be safe, cared for and loved while you're away.

As a guest in your space I value open communication, and will treat your home as if it is my own - that is, with respect. Respect is my single greatest personal value.
I am organised, reliable, and timely in my communication and actions. If/when staying with me, you can expect my partner to be equally respectful of the space. I'm also happy to send photos or updates of your pets while you're away, if you like.

The only needs from my end are a reliable internet connection if I'm house sitting over work days, clear instructions on house and pet care, and information to be able to comfortably exist in the house (e.g. how to work any appliances that aren't straightforward).
For practical aspects like that I've found it really helpful to have things shown/explained to me before starting a house sit. With covid risk at the moment, I might feel more comfortable doing that over a video call instead, depending on your preference too.

I am currently looking for house sits for a change of scenery from home where I've otherwise spent a very long time in lockdowns over the last 2 years, and to spend time with animals when I don't yet have any pets myself.

Generally about me: I'm a mental health professional working part-time from home. I love nature; music; photography; time with loved ones & community; good food; and doing what I can to unwind, relax, and slow down from the fast pace of work & city life.

I have a reference available from a couple I have been catsitting for for years- just ask. I also have a current Police Check.
