Hello we are Chrissie and Derek , a mature health conscious non smoking couple ( over 50) with many years experience of property management and dog and cat ownership.
We have both worked in the TV industry for many years. Derek retired and I came out of the industry too, to start a property business
We now have 6 properties in the Uk and a property in Greece and are very hands on in their renovation and maintenance .
We are also Airbnb hosts during the summer months and have also been Airbnb guests,
so we we are very aware of how to maintain, look after and keep a home clean.
We are avid walkers and have owned two huskies, Kishka and her pup Max. Whilst not the easiest of breeds, I managed to train them off lead and they gave us many years of joy. We lost Max last October, he nearly made it to 13! 😢. Kishka was diabetic and we administered twice daily insulin injections and in the last month of Max’s life, we dressed an open wound twice daily. So we are not shy of administering medication.
We miss our dogs dearly and continue to walk but it is not quite the same . When we meet dogs out on a walk we make such a fuss of them, some want to follow us home!
We have also had several cats over the years. .
A few years back we were puppy parents for Canine Partners, a charity that trains dogs for the disabled ( the labradoodle and chocolate lab in pictures) . We attended weekly training sessions and had specific tasks to socialise, train and care for the puppies for 10-12 months before they were taken for specialised training to match the needs of their chosen disabled partner.
We have also boarded my friends husky for holiday relief ( whom I also trained off lead alongside my two - the White husky in the pictures) and we have been a foster home for a husky charity .
We have decided not to have any more pets as it was always difficult getting house sitters when going away.
We then considered, whilst we are away, we could care for other peoples pets and homes and love them like our own .
We are now back in the UK but hope to come again in October for a long stay so if you are looking for around that time, we would love to look after your fur babies if you will let us and in return we will look after your home whilst you are away . ☺️
