More information about this house sitter

We are available to look after a home and care for pets in approximately May/June/July 2019 -on or close to the Sunshine Coast. Please do contact us directly if you are seeking someone reliable and capable. We can offer you both of those things.
We are a friendly, mature couple: New Zealanders from the South Island and we are frequently in Queensland staying for long periods for several years now. We always love being in Australia.
We are active and healthy. We like to walk, read, think...and we have to admit enjoying good coffee. We don't smoke and are not party people- really we are fairly quiet-living people.
We are competent housekeepers and gardeners- we like clean and tidy- and have lived with cats and dogs all our lives. Our very old gentleman dog died last year after 19 fine living years in which he enjoyed several walks a day with us and many a great day out. We miss him a great deal.
We are content with cats around too-and are kind, careful and generous with our laps when required. We have always had cats as part of our family; our last two chaps also have recently died at age 15. It seems a rather quiet time.
We can also care for other animals or birds and/or your lifestyle block and its inhabitants. We have country living experience.
We are conscientious and thoughtful. We will keep in touch with you and send photos of your pets and home if you want or leave you alone for your holiday time. We will care for plants and garden thoroughly, walk and delight your dog and attend to all your cat's needs with pleasure and whistle tunefully with or to your bird. We might be a bit hesitant if you have several very large dogs but ask us anyway, we'll reply quickly.
We have been long term house sitters in both Australia and NZ and have used house sitters ourselves a number of times now. We can provide contacts for you to check our abilities and responsibility with if you would like, and/or meet you in person on Skype or FaceTime for a thorough chat.
We understand what it feels like to leave your home and pets in the care of others and so we will go out of our way to follow your instructions, keep things as you would like and leave everything just as you would like for you to return to.
We like to think you will be delighted with our house sitting.
