Hi. I'm Richard, 42 years old, single and the Gold Coast is home, while animals and people are my joy. (That's me on the left in the photo, Dad on the right:) I hope the details below give a little insight as to who I am and what I'm about.

Due to my love of working In third world countries, I travel. This travel is very flexible for me, but when I'm home, it means unfortunately that I'm unable to have a pet of my own (for the time being anyway). Some of the most rewarding work I've ever done was working at a hands on wildlife sanctuary in Southern Africa. House sitting is a very good fit for my lifestyle and loves. I grew up with animals and have lived with, owned and trained animals for most of my life.

I have a maturity and an absolute love for the welfare of animals and respect for people and property. I have travelled the world a few times over and lived in extremes of living conditions. My work and living in the slums of Kenya have given me an even greater appreciation of what I already knew and appreciated... that this is the most beautiful and lucky country on earth. We should endeavour to keep it that way. I am extremely neat, tidy and respectful. Home base for me is Surfers Paradise. I have owned homes, built, renovated and rented homes. I have been full time caretaker on one of the Gold Coast's most prestigious properties and am absolutely house proud. Then of course, animals take me to my happy place.
