Hello folks
We would love to be minding your home and pets. "We" are Frank and Anna Fisher.

Frank is a fit 66 year old retired Naval officer, with various careers behind him. He is a home handyman: erected pergolas, carport and verandah; made wooden toys; basic plumbing maintenance; laid patios and garden paths; cemented walkways, and basic landscaping. He has used a chainsaw, hydraulic block splitter, weed spray pump, lawn and ride–on mower and all electric tools (except a router). We have both learned to operate the dam pumps on two acreages.

Anna is a house keeper par excellence; having having been employed as a live-in housekeeper 22 years full-time in private residences in Hong Kong. Her last Hong Kong employer (for four years) asked her to extend her contract, as he was so impressed with her standard of work and personal care of his family. She’d be meticulous in keeping your home in good shape and we would both be giving your pets and garden all the care and attention they deserve.

We have a few house sitting strings to our bow over the past 3 years now:
• Minding 4 horses, 1 dog and 2 cats on a property in Gippsland for 6 months in 2012 (that was Frank only); which included detecting and dealing with an inflamed foot; blankets on and off; walking the horses to change paddocks; poo pick up and hay feeds.

• House-sitting 2 dogs and 1 cat on an acre in Bunyip for ten weeks in 2013; where Anna learned to manage a ride on mower. “Puss” needed regular medicine; and the dogs TLC and walks. The stay in Bunyip was quite a challenge with a few trees down due to very heavy weather. We've enjoyed mowing the lawns, tending the gardens and walking the dogs in between storms. Frank found himself still adept with a chain saw to clear up the fallen trees and branches.

• Minding a small farm in Echuca for 7 weeks in 2014; this included an attractive Kelpie, some chooks, a galah, and keeping a ‘weather’ eye on 24 ewes. “Abbey” was a very active working dog and had to be kept outside. Apart from that we kept the largish vegetable garden weeded and watered; planted some carrots, regulated the flow of water to and from the dam and regularly mowed a large area of lawn and grass (we missed the ride on mower from Bunyip, but Frank enjoyed getting heaps of exercise).

Two days with a german shepherd and sick cat in Kew.

2-1/2 months caring for 2 Jack Russels and a pussn acreage in Gisborne.

Warrandyte with two border collies 4 months.

Kingaroy 4 months with 14 chickens and a large complex watering task for 7 acres.

Blue Mountains for 2 weeks with two rescue greyhounds requiring special care.

Tea Gardens 5 months, caring for the above greyhounds on two further occasions as agreed between the two home owners.

Jiggi (near Lismore) 3 weeks with 4 rescued kelpies, 2 donkeys and a pig. It was here we decided to pick up 2 rescue dogs of our own (a kelpie/border collie and a silky/maltese) so they could adjust to having other animals around them.

Barraba near Tamworth for 5 months with just our own pets until Mid May.

Currently with 3 (sometimes 5) cows and two dogs on acreage near Warrnambool.

Rest assured that your home, property and pets will be looked after as if they were our own. Please don't be put off by us having our own dogs: they love other pets and get on well with any others. They can live inside or outside as you wish.

Hopefully, when you've read this profile, we will have aroused your interest and possibly come to an early agreement: giving you peace of mind. We finish our present stay on 18 September.
