More information about this house sitter

Hi, we are Pauline and Fortune.
We have travelled overseas for many years, both working and volunteering. Pauline, in Architecture and Volunteer Engagement, and Fortune as an English, Math teacher and soccer coach. We have been back working in Australia for a while now, Pauline is still in Architecture and Fortune as a carer in Aged Care and Disability. We feel now it is time to explore our great country. So, we have set up home in a campervan and I get to show my husband this beautiful country and meet its wonderful characters. We are doing more of a meander of Australia rather than the obligatory lap, so we can wander to see new places, meet new people, and love new animals that we can care for along the way.

We love to explore unfamiliar places and meet new people, and animals. Because we do not have a timetable to keep to, we are super flexible and find ourselves with the opportunity to look after people's pets, animals, gardens, plants and homes as if they were our own, giving them peace of mind while they are off enjoying their holidays, worry-free. Oh, and I get my animal fix :-)
While travelling, I can still do my architectural work on my laptop, and Fortune still works as a carer.

I love animals and was lucky enough to grow up in a large family on a cattle farm in southern New South Wales, so I am extremely comfortable in looking after all sorts of animals, administering medications where needed and loving animals both big and small. We always had a variety of pets, the dogs that dad used to call "working" but I knew better and would spoil them accordingly.

We have often house-sat, garden-sat and pet-sat previously, for family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, bosses, friends of bosses, for anything from a weekend to a month or two, but joining Mind a Home is formalizing it.

We both have current National Police Clearance Certificates. Have a clear rental record. Please feel free to contact us if you would like any further information or would like to have a chat.
See you on the great open road.
