Hi, My name is Debbie, I'm in my mid 50's and am an experienced house and pet sitter with excellent references from everyone that I have done house and pet sits for.
I'm fortunate enough to work from home, with my own small business (teaching Patchwork, Embroidery & Quilting), which allows me to take SHORT BREAKS AWAY to explore more of our beautiful country... and meet more lovely pet owners and their furry friends.

I am available to help you towards a stress-free holiday or business trip; with peace of mind, that your home & pets are being well taken care of whilst you are away.
I am a non- smoker and only very occasional drinker and will follow your instructions, and your pets routines to ensure a lovely positive experience for all concerned. I love to give lots of attention and affection to ensure your pets and property are well-cared for, leaving your pets feeling happy and relaxed upon your return. Happy to update you with photos etc whilst you are away - IF that's what you would like.

Owning my own small business allows me to take SHORT BREAKS AWAY, and experience house and pet sitting in other parts of our beautiful country with relaxing parks, beautiful water & coastal views being highly sought after... lovely lakes and beaches too :)
I'm often drawn to the calming effects of the water, in whatever form it might be.

I am extremely HOUSE PROUD, NEAT AND TIDY and would like for you to ENJOY YOUR TIME AWAY knowing you have peace of mind that your home, your privacy and your personal belongings will be respected and looked after as if you were there...

As a proud home-owner myself, I know it's a big thing to leave all of your personal belongings in someone else's care. Rest assured I will respect your privacy (with no looking into things that do not concern me)... and I will take the utmost of care of everything I have been entrusted to look after, including your home, pets, plants, cars etc.
In return I ask for a nice, CLEAN, comfortable, SMOKE-FREE home in a secure location - with a space for me to park my car.

I pride myself on being NEAT AND CLEAN, am a NON SMOKER. Just happy to while away the hours doing my stitching, walking, playing & looking after your pets as needed... and possibly getting in a bit of pool or beach time in your local area too... I'm very much aware that my main priority is to look after your pets care.

I've owned and looked after Dogs, Cats, Fish, Birds, Chooks (Guinea Pigs and Rabbits as a child) and even Pet Cows on our property too. I particularly LOVE friendly small to medium dogs -
(.. a photo of our beautiful elderly dog "Poppy" is attached above. (She's getting a bit older now and stays with friends when I go away house-sitting). I also became the 'owner' of a Tabby cat last year called Tiggy (also pictured below)... He ended up as a little kitten abandoned on our doorstep late one night... and never left..! 😊 He was cheeky and affectionate and became a much loved member of our family... so I have definite experience with all things cats and dogs 🤗

Living on a country property, I'm very conscious of NOT wasting power, water etc and attending to your security needs. I am happy to water the plants, collect the mail and send through updates (if you'd like) of your pets whilst you're away :)
I'm wanting to give you peace of mind that your pets and home will be looked after so that you can have a feel-good, relaxing time away.

I have just finished my most recent house and pet sit, and it was in a beautiful leafy neighbourhood in North Wahroonga NSW. The owners were very kind, and the house was presented immaculately clean and a pleasure to stay in. The 2 beautiful dogs were a pleasure to look after & I thoroughly enjoyed taking them for walks. They both had beautiful personalities and I would stay there again if the opportunity arose. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
Some of my other house sits included... when I was looking after a timid (older) rescue puss named Miss Minx and it was lovely having her warm up to us during our stay. This house & pet sit was in a beautiful 3 bdrm apartment also located in the lovely Wahroonga NSW area. (It is lovely, as we have family living near there). It was near a gorgeous Park & surrounded by Bakeries, Patisseries and a lovely little Cafe culture in the Village Shop area. It was a pleasure to house and pet sit in this beautiful home... to meet the lovely owner, and to look after her gorgeous Puss for her. My Mum & I came together from interstate and stayed there. We have made tentative plans to do more future sits for this lady and her very timid rescue cat.

Prior to that I then did a sit in outer Sydney NSW. On that occasion I looked after 2 gorgeous Beagles - and yes it is true, they really do follow their nose! 🐶 I loved looking after them both. Again this home was located near a lovely park where I could take both of the beagles for their daily walks.

Each of the home & pet owners that I have done sits for have left VERY FAVOURABLE REVIEWS on this site.

I consider myself to be a friendly, clean and considerate person and would love to enjoy looking after your pets and home too...

I live in a beautiful Federation home on the Mid North Coast, just outside of Port Macquarie New South Wales...and I take great pride in our homes upkeep and care.
I have loved and cared for pets all of my life, and since joining "Mindahome" have thoroughly enjoyed the lovely experiences had since joining this site. I love travelling and looking after other people's pets and homes and have enjoyed the experiences immensely....and have received great reviews from ALL of the homeowners.

In my first house-sit I looked after a lovely German Shepard locally on the Mid North Coast of NSW and in MAY 2019 I did two further house sits nearby... including the German Shepard and a friendly Border Collie in a cottage near Tea Gardens (NSW). I really enjoyed spending time with and caring for them both.

I then travelled to Kedron Queensland and Iooked after 2 very special much loved, (and very spoilt) gorgeous little indoor dogs. Maisy was young and playful and a bundle of energy who bounced around and followed me EVERYWHERE!!! She was adorabable!!!
(I could have easily taken her home xx) ... Old Man Jack was completely at the other end of the scale - he was happy just to laze around, but equally as gorgeous with his big gentle eyes.
(He was an elderly special needs dog.)
He required administering of medication in liquid and tablet form, as well as administering of 2 forms of Asthma Puffers - and tending to his arthritic needs.
I loved looking after them both.
(These owners had a truly beautiful, VERY LUXURIOUS modern home complete with a media room, a beautiful pool and spa). I felt very spoilt there... !! The dogs were GORGEOUS and the home was impeccable! A beautiful sit in sunny Qld for sure!!

IN JULY 2019 I had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful home over in Bunbury, PERTH WA. This was the first time I had taken a plane trip to attend a pet sit - as it was a special occasion as it coincided with my 50th birthday :) ...it was gorgeous visiting the other side of the country (and was my first time visiting WA)
I looked after a lovely dog, a cheeky puss, and 3 laying chooks who graced us with their eggs each day. The owners had a BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED 1930's home.
This owner was an Artist...and it was beautiful waking up in such a lovely environment each morning :)
...IT IS A REAL PRIVILEDGE being able to stay in & look after gorgeous pets and their equally beautiful homes. ♡ I LOVE IT ♡

In 2020, with all its uncertainty, it was very different though...
Like everyone, when the uncertainty of Covid first hit.. with its health & travel restrictions bought some challenges for us all. As a result of all the uncertainty I decided to take myself off the market for house and pet sitting for the first half of that year ( and instead spent the time safe and sound at home).

I have (and will always be) health & safety conscious and now take special care in relation to any isolation and distancing requirements that may be in place at any time. I AM FULLY VACCINATED... and have had my booster shot too... IN LINE WITH CURRENT GOVERNMENT PRACTICES.

I pride myself on maintaining excellent personal and cleaning practices and will GUARANTEE TO CLEAN DOWN SURFACES UPON LEAVING YOUR HOME... Making sure it is lovely and clean for your return.

With my three most recent sits (after covid), it was really lovely to get back out sitting again. I thoroughly enjoyed looking after the timid puss and the 2 dogs, and very favourable reviews were left by each of the homeowners.

Now that things have settled down again, I look forward to being able to get out and about and seeing some more of our beautiful country. *(Please remember that I do short breaks only though).
In a few months time, I will be looking to do a lovely house and pet sit around the Gold Coast area for 2024.
During this time, I will be most likely be meeting up with my Mother... so we can enjoy being in each other's company again. (So that would be 2 beds required).
My Mum (Ann) comes up from Victoria and enjoys the occasional visit with me. She too is a non- smoker and enjoys meeting our new furry companions and looking after them and their homes too.

*(Please note that I have mostly done the lovely house & pet sits on my own, however sometimes I like to do a lovely sit with my Mum coming up from Victoria to join me in the "holiday sit" with me OR occasionally it is myself and a lovely craft friend... we enjoy a little sit, chat & hand stitch whilst enjoying the local neighbourhood... and minding your pets and home🤗... In either scenario, I always advise the homeowner PRIOR to doing the sit, that that is what I intend... and get permission for.

On the next occasion, I am looking to do a lovely sit ...with my Mother on the sit too.
