Hi Everyone!
I'm a single, active, mature, friendly lady who worked in business and many different industries.
After operating two different businesses, one an nostalgic themed retail card and gift store in SA that developed into a national retail franchise chain (10yrs), then I designed a themed New Orleans restaurant bar in Surfers GC that became very popular (18mths), I took time out to travel again.
Then I took off in a totally different direction of taking on challenging roles in professional property management and caretaking positions. I enjoyed being on the move, loving my time out in the vast open spaces while being paid to do caretaking out on a historical remote outback station in the SA bush near Lake Gairdner with a friend. We loved it out there. I favoured this after my earlier years living out on a sheep station in SA when first married. But as a Pisces I always had strong urges to be closer to water, the coastlines and beaches.
While working and living away in different areas I always took time to go visit my parents, family & friends in Australia and overseas.
I lived on the Gold Coast 25yrs, then
moved up to live on the Sunshine Coast for 6yrs. I often did trips to SA to see my ailing parents.
I returned to the SSC early June this year after living in Victoria 5yrs to be nearer my two grandson's out regional Victoria, which wasn't a state I ever liked visiting.
I have managed many different large acreage properties with dogs, cats, birds, horses, cows, sheep & other farm animals while travelling.
I now prefer easier housesits without heavy commitments.
I've done housesitting in SA, GC, SSC, Vic, Qld & Nthn Qld.
I've looked after farms or homes on large acreages with a mix of dogs, cats, sheep, cows & horses.
I enjoyed the challenge with a mate caretaking the Historical Moonaree Station in SA. A very remote 1000sq mile sheep & cattle station out between Lake Everard & Lake Gairdner SA, living in the beautiful old homestead, tending gardens, lawns, shearer's quarters, shearing sheds & outhouses. Doing daily water runs (with maps) to check pipelines, troughs, dams, windmills & stock. The owners lived & managed the northern end of the property 76klms. Our other neighbours were 1&1/2hrs away at Mt Ives Station!
I cared for a farming acreage outside Bendigo at Leichhardt for 6mths by myself with a dog for company, (Rowdy), sheep, horses & 2 cats!
I housesat in T'sville, Gordonvale & Atherton Tablelands Nthn Qld on a roadtrip from Sept-Dec last year.
These were large homes on acreages with pools, gardens, dogs, cats, fish & birds. I've enjoyed living and working out on fruit farms, almond farms (during harvests), grain harvesting work (heavy!) & looked after an exotic bamboo plantation in Kin Kin SSC with a friend minding the home, dams & pipe lines. Great fun!
I now prefer housesits on or around the SSC and northern coastal areas.
I have camped and toured Frazer Island, Moreton Island and Stradbroke Islands, so open to take sitting jobs on these islands.
I have many excellent references with personal contacts from owners from past sits and caretaking jobs.
I'm originally from Birmingham UK and moved out to Australia with family when young.

I love being near natural scrubland in the beautiful Qld bush with wild animals, birds and nature. But I also love being nearer coastlines and beaches. I've enjoyed all types of aquatics sports in the past, boating, walking beaches and enjoying the Qld lifestyle. It's the perfect place to walk, swim, be out in a boat or doing other coastal activities.
I've lived in many areas of the Sunshine Coast in the past. It's a lovely spot to be.

* My past caretaking on farms & stations were all paid positions. If owners require sitters to care for large homes on acreages tending vegie gardens, mowing, whipper-snipping expansive areas of lawns, weeding, manage maintenance of pools while caring for cats, dogs, horses, sheep, chooks, goats, fish etc..Please Note! These are caretaking jobs & sitters should be paid! These are NOT just basic housesits!

I now take sits that require less heavy work loads for myself, preferring to just enjoy the company of cats and dogs. I walk dogs twice a day, doing daily walks on beaches or in dog parks as long as they happily socialise with other people & dogs. Cats can be walked on a leash (if trained) or placed in large caged cat runs outside to protect wild birds.
I'm experienced with many assorted dog and cats breeds, sizes and ages but prefer looking after smaller to medium mature dogs that are well trained, socialise well with people & dogs, and well trained on recall.
Housesitting helps us to experience different areas of Australia while travelling or working away, without excessive accommodation costs, but it also is a great reliable safe service to those homeowner's who wish to travel away while someone minds their homes, gardens, pot plants, mail while caring for their pets.
House-sitting is a great way to escape away, enjoying different places, while allowing you the space without staying on top of friends and family. It allows more freedom to visit places, making breaks away more affordable while caring for owners homes, pets, lawns, gardens, plants, pools.

I like staying active with daily walks, swimming, strength and fitness classes, different dance classes and Tai Chi etc.
A non smoker and social drinker.
I love chilling out with my two young grandson's whenever I can. They now live here on the SSC too.
I enjoy movies, reading, writing, sewing, art, design, boating, motorbikes, swimming, snorkeling & walking. I love going with my grandson's on hikes in national forests, scrubland and can't wait for the opportunity to take them to different beaches.
I'm now an active Pensioner so able to move around freely where I can.
As a qualified Austswim teacher of many years, I now prefer taking adults for private swim tuition.
Many adults and seniors can't swim.
Housesitting offers time away to escape to different regions, while enjoying the company of dogs and cats, while minding homes & pets while owners travel away.
I have excellent references from past rentals, many housesit owners & personal references.
I am reliable, honest & trustworthy, with a security background.
I've work alongside geologists and drillers underground out on remote mining sites, been in wholesale, retail and hospitality businesses.

I am fastidious, very detailed and organised. I care for your pet's diets, administer medications if required (tho I've never administered injections). I have a police clearance, Austswim Licence and WWCC Blue Card (Work With Children & vulnerable persons). I get on well with children, adults, Aged Citizens & people with disabilities.
I love most breeds of dogs, cats & farm animals, aquatic pets & wildlife. I have had my own dogs and a cats in the past.
