More information about this house sitter

Hi! We're a late-twenties couple (UK/USA) travelling around Australia together. We want to house sit because it's a great way to experience a city with a good home-base, rather than jumping from noisy hostel to noisy hostel all the time. We'll look after your home as if it were our own and, having both lived independently, we understand what is needed to care for a house. We're both non-smoking, clean, and tidy people who adore cats! I (Lizzie) used to have 2 growing up, one of which was blind. We've both cat-sat and dog-sat for friends, neighbours and others before, so would be happy to pet-sit for you as well! We also enjoy working in gardens, and Stephen is very good at home maintenance.

We're available for any length of time, but would prefer longer-term sittings if possible. This is our first time joining a professional house-sitting site, but I (Lizzie) have previously house-sat for my parents whilst they were travelling abroad. We have now also house-sat for several people here in Australia, and can give references from them if requested.
We are also both long-term members of HelpX, a volunteer website where people offer their time & skills in return for food & accommodation from hosts, and can provide character references from past hosts from there as well. Read more...
