Kate has completed a Certificate in Captive Animal Management at Richmond College of TAFE with Graeme Phipps. She has worked and volunteered for various animal organisations and private collections. Kate has been responsible for animal husbandry for both exotic,
native, and domestic animals. She has organised a Parrot Training workshop at Taronga Zoo and has given animal presentations at schools and environmental days. Kate has been active has a wild life rehabber for WIRES, and a foster carer for the RSPCA. She has been active in the preservation of habitats on the east coast of Australia. She has helped remove native animals from sites so they are not destroyed before when clearing is completed. One of her passions is environmental enrichment for domestic and captive animals.
