We are a reliable, responsible, mature couple who enjoy housesitting and we particularly love looking after pets, as we no longer have any at home. We lived in Canberra for 28 years and we retired to Melbourne in 2015 to be with our family. My husband is a retired academic, who worked at the Australian Defence Force Academy in Canberra, and I am a retired librarian, who worked in Parliament House. Our housesitting and petsitting jobs began in 2014 and since then, we have house and pet sat on numerous occasions. We take pride in looking after pets and houses and we always we look forward to meeting new people and forming new friendships. their pets. The maximum number of pets we have cared for during 1 housesit was 4, being 2 dogs and 2 cats. The vast majority of pets that we have cared for are dogs, ranging from Jack Russells to German Shepherds and we enjoy playing with pets and taking them for walks. We e owned three cats for many years while our children were living at home. More recently, we have looked after up to 2 cats in one household and various combinations of dogs and cats in the same household. We are meticulous about maintaining and cleaning the property before we leave so that it is in, at least, the condition in which we found it. For homeowners who cannot meet us face-to-face, we are happy to organise and participate in online meetings via platforms such as Zoom or FaceTime. We have solid references which we have supplied on the Mindahome site and several references from the period before we joined Mindahome.
