We are a mother and daughter team on our journey around Australia.

We live a simple, quiet and clean lifestyle, enjoying the outdoors and keeping active. We hold a deep love for all animals and I take great pride in keeping the home space. My daughter, Marna (7yo), is gentle and compassionate. We are enjoying home schooling. She loves helping me feed the animals and tend to the garden. House sitting has been a wonderful learning experience for Marna.

In the past I studied veterinary science and have experienced handling horses and live stock. I have volunteered at animal rescue shelters and have worked at pet shops and veterinary surgeries.

We are experienced house sitters in caring for different pets, gardens, yard and pool maintenance. Also, I am very conscious of water and energy usage when on house sit assignments.

I am a non smoker and non drinker. I am reliable and honest with references available and a current National Police Check.

I feel lucky to have found Rachel and Marna to farm-sit for me recently so I could take a much needed break. It would be a daunting task for many house sitters to take on the care of any farm . Taking on one with such a large number of animals requiring daily feeding/ care due to recent bad drought conditions was quite brave! Rachel has such a calm, thoughtful manner / approach and such a natural gentle affinity with all the animals I was confident they would be very well cared for. She fed and cared for my 25 horses, 30 sheep, goat, alpaca, chooks ducks and cats with the careful observation and thorough care only true and experienced animal lovers can. She went above and beyond i - arranging hay delivery when required and nursing an elderly pony with an injured eye requiring daily care and medication ...And I still came home to a lovely clean home! It was wonderful to get to know Rachel and Marna better when I invited them to stay on for the few extra days before their next adventure. Marna's sparkling, vivacious charm alongside Rachel's ever patient, gentle strength make them a delightful team. I wish them well in every adventure and can highly recommend them, especially if you have animals.

Rachael and Marna looked after my dog Taj. He had a wonderful time with them and really bonded to them.If you have a dog that needs looking after i highly recommend Rachael and Marna, the house was very clean on my return as well. they came to visit me a week after i got back and Taj went nuts with excitment to see them.To me that says it all.

What an absolute delight Rachel and her daughter Marna are. Our main priority was for the care of our dog "Lebron" whilst we were overseas for four weeks, and after meeting Rachel and Marna we left knowing he was in good hands. They looked after him like he was their own, we received regular updates via email and also photos of the 3 of them enjoying a walk on the beach. Their love of animals shines through. The house was spotless on our return with the gardens looking fabulous. We look forward to using them again and recommend them highly as they are first class house sitters.

I had the pleasure of Rachel and Marna house sitting for me in April 2015 for 4 weeks, Not only did I come home to a beautifully clean house, I had regular updates and communication with Rachel whilst I was away, but most importantly my precious dog Bailey was well cared for and loved. It was evident from the photos that Bailey was being well cared for and his sadness of Rachel and Marna leaving was evident as he mopped around all day! Thank you so much for all your care and attention to Bailey and my house, I would not hesitate to recommend Rachel for house and pet sitting. PS - the fresh flowers on the bench were a very welcomed personal touch to arrive home to!
